Indian Head Massage


Indian Head Massage is the perfect antidote to stress and tension.

It uses and adapts classic Swedish massage techniques for treating the scalp, face, neck, shoulders, upper back and upper arms.  However, although the treatment focuses on the upper torso and head, the affects are felt throughout the mind and body.  It is performed on the client whilst clothed.

A treatment benefits all the following:-

Nervous System - It reduces the affects of stress thus facilitating sleep, reduces anxiety, slows heart rate down, improves breathing, releases physical and mental tension and promotes feelings of calm and wellbeing.  It helps unblock congestion throughout the body.  The release of tension increases energy levels.

Skin - It gets rid of dead skin cells and improves skin tone and colour.

Skeletal System - It helps increase joint mobility and flexibility in shoulders, neck and arms.  It reduces tension in tissues, making them more flexible, which minimises the stress on bones and joints.

Muscular System - Improved circulation helps remove waste, particularly lactic acid, from muscles, reducing aches and soreness.  Tension can be reduced in neck and shoulder muscles.

Circulatory System - Improved circulation improves the delivery of nutrients and oxygen and speeds up removal of wastes and toxins.  Lowers blood pressure.

Lymphatic System - It improves lymphatic circulation, speeding up the removal of excess fluid and waste from cells and helps to reduce the risk of infection through production and delivery of white blood cells.
