Thai Foot Massage

Thai Foot Massage works on similar principles as Reflexology and covers the feet and lower leg.  It involves hands on massage, stretching and acupressure to stimulate reflex points.  Hands, fingers, thumbs, knuckles and a rounded wooden Thai foot massage stick are used to stimulate certain areas of the feet releasing blocked energy within the body’s many Sen lines (Thai-based meridians).  This helps to balance and restore a healthy flow of energy throughout the body.

This treatment is a wonderful stress reliever,  promoting deep relaxation.

The benefits of a Thai Foot Massage include:

  • Improves the circulation in the legs and feet;

  • Stimulates lymphatic drainage;

  •  Helps to boost the immune system;

  •  Aids the removal of toxins;

  •  Increases oxygen to the body;

  •  Can reduce stiffness and improve flexibility;

  •  Detoxification and strengthening of the immune system, thus preventing disease;

  •  Acceleration of physical healing;

  •  Reduces stress;

  •  Helps with insomnia;

  •  Assists relaxation;

  •  Reduces mental tiredness.

What to expect at your first Thai Foot Massage:

  • I will contact you prior to your appointment to ask what you would like to get from the treatment.  At this time I will also go through aftercare with you such as drinking plenty of water to rehydrate the body and help flush out the toxins that have been released;

  • You will have already completed a health questionnaire by e-mail in advance of your Thai Foot Massage;

  • You will be made to feel at ease when you arrive and invited to lie down on the massage bed having removed your socks and clothing up to your knees. If wearing loose trousers, these can be rolled up to the knee;

  • You will find my treatment to be very peaceful, quiet and totally private.  I will play relaxing music, have ambient lighting and a heated blanket on the massage bed;

  • You can ask me any questions you have;

  • I will advise on how many treatments will ideally be needed.
